Picture policy

Created by Donnate Support, Modified on Mon, 29 Jan at 2:52 PM by Donnate Support

Photos are one of the most important parts of your listing because they allow potential buyers to see the item's exact condition and help them decide whether to make an offer or buy it. We recommend including more than one to help increase your chances of a successful sale.

What is the policy?

The following are not allowed:

  • Photos that don't accurately represent the item
  • Human photos: Product photographs must solely feature the item itself. Individuals are not permitted to be present in the image. Hands and feet may be included for scale purposes, but they should not be the focal point of the photograph.
  • Placeholder images used to convey messages
  • Stock photos for used, damaged, or defective items
  • Photos with added borders
  • Photos with added text, artwork or marketing material
  • Watermarks of any type, including those used for ownership attributions

For more guidelines, see our Adding pictures to your listings article.

Activity on Donnate is required to:

  • Follow all applicable laws
  • Respect the rights of third parties
  • Follow the Donnate User Agreement
  • Follow this Donnate policy

If activity doesn’t meet these requirements, Donnate may take action consistent with applicable laws and the Donnate User Agreement and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: administratively ending listings or cancelling transactions; hiding or lowering the placement of listings in search results; restricting buying or selling; and account suspension.
