What is Donnate and how does it work?

Donnate is a shopping and donation platform. Users can list items they have never used or no longer need for sale on Donnate and donate the proceeds to nonprofits.

There is no shipping option in Donnate; after buyers pay for the product, they receive a pickup code and personally collect the item from the seller, completing the donation.

There are no product returns in Donnate, but orders can be cancelled before the product is delivered. Nonprofits incur transaction costs when they receive payment, no matter whether the order is delivered or not. Therefore, in the event of an order cancellation, 5% of the payment is donated to the nonprofit, and the remaining amount is refunded to the buyer. Buyers should not purchase items on Donnate if they don't want to make a donation in case of a cancellation.
