Member behaviour policies

One of the foundations of the Donnate experience is the level of trust between all members of the Donnate community. To maintain that trust, we expect all members to treat each other with respect.


Our policies around member behaviour are in place to protect everyone in our community and ensure that buying and selling on Donnate is an enjoyable experience for all. For more details, please see the individual policy guidelines below.


Threats and offensive language policy

We have zero tolerance for members using language that we consider to be defamatory or abusive.


Using Donnate's intellectual property policy

Learn when and how you can use our name, logo and other intellectual property.


Violation of the Donnate User Agreement policy

Everyone registered on Donnate has agreed to comply with our User Agreement and all other site policies.


Member-to-member contact policy

We encourage open communication between our members through our site, but we have rules in place for how contact can be made and messages can be sent.


Contact information in listings policy

Members are not allowed to include contact information in public content on Donnate.


Offering to buy or sell outside of Donnate policy

Contacting another Donnate member to discuss moving a purchase off Donnate creates a risk of fraud and isn't allowed.


User Agreement

Our user agreement sets out the terms and conditions you agree to when you register on Donnate.

Identity policies

To help validate the identities of our buyers and sellers, we require our users to adhere to certain policies.


Enabling infringement policy

We don’t allow sellers to copy or modify products in a way that would infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.


Cookie Notice

Our cookie notice details the information we collect through cookies and how we use it to improve your experience on Donnate.


Activity on Donnate is required to:

  • Follow all applicable laws
  • Respect the rights of third parties
  • Follow the Donnate User Agreement
  • Follow this Donnate policy


If activity doesn’t meet these requirements, Donnate may take action consistent with applicable laws and the Donnate User Agreement and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: administratively ending listings or cancelling transactions; hiding or lowering the placement of listings in search results; restricting buying or selling; and account suspension.
