We're committed to keeping our marketplace a safe place for all our members. To help validate the identities of our buyers and sellers, we require our users to adhere to certain policies.

When you sign up with Donnate, you're agreeing to the terms of our user agreement and privacy notice, as well as our identity policies. To learn more about our various identity policies, please see the detailed guidelines below.

Misrepresentation of identity policy

Learn what's allowed and what's not allowed when representing your identity on Donnate.

False or missing contact information policy

To make sure all transactions go smoothly, you're required to provide up-to-date and accurate contact information, including name, address, and phone number.

Contact information in listings policy

We're committed to protecting your privacy and ask you to respect the privacy of other members, too. We don't allow our users to publish any contact information in public content on Donnate.

Invalid and dead email addresses policy

It's important that a valid email address is registered to your account so we can easily communicate with you.

Underage user policy

Listings on Donnate involve entering into a contract so all our members must be aged 18 years or older.

Username policy

We have some criteria to make sure your identity is protected when you create a username. Find out what you can and can't do when you create or change yours.

Multiple accounts policy

Members can have different accounts for buying and selling, or for different product lines, with valid business reasons, but all accounts are subject to our buying and selling policies.

Activity on Donnate is required to:

  • Follow all applicable laws
  • Respect the rights of third parties
  • Follow the Donnate User Agreement
  • Follow this Donnate policy

If activity doesn’t meet these requirements, Donnate may take action consistent with applicable laws and the Donnate User Agreement and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: administratively ending listings or cancelling transactions; hiding or lowering the placement of listings in search results; restricting buying or selling; and account suspension.
