How sellers can cancel an order

Sellers are obligated to complete the sale when a buyer makes a purchase. However, we understand that there may be circumstances in which orders need to be cancelled, especially when a buyer hasn't paid. The seller can cancel the order if the buyer hasn't paid within 2 days after the order is placed.

Don't forget that you can communicate with the buyer before, during, and after the purchase. Good communication leads to a good experience.

Cancelling an order after payment

Both the buyer and the seller can cancel an order after payment, but due to transaction costs, 5% of the payment is donated to the nonprofit, and the remaining amount is refunded to the buyer. The donated amount cannot be less than $1 or more than $49. Buyers should not purchase a product if they do not want to make a donation in case of a return or cancellation. Buyers can leave feedback for the seller after a cancelled order if the payment is made. If a seller has too many cancelled orders, Donnate may suspend their account if necessary.

How to cancel an order:

  1. In Profile, go to Donations.
  2. Select the order you want to cancel, and at the very bottom of the page, select Cancel Order.
  3. Choose a reason for the cancellation and give a more detailed explanation, then select Cancel Order.

After an order has been cancelled, we'll automatically relist the item for you.
